Bounding the Residual Tropospheric Error by Interval Analysis

Abstract GNSS integrity monitoring requires proper bounding to characterize all ranging error sources. Unlike classical approaches based on probabilistic assumptions, our alternative approach depends deterministic interval bounds as inputs. The intrinsically linear uncertainty propagation with intervals is adequate describe remaining systematic uncertainty, the so-called imprecision. In this contribution, we make a proposal how derive required in order quantify and bound residual for empirical troposphere models, refined sensitivity analysis via arithmetic. We evaluated experimentally Saastamoinen model (i) priori ISO standard atmosphere, (ii) on-site meteorological measurements from IGS Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD) stations obtain consistent complete enclosure of ZPD errors w.r.t products. Thanks DWD dense network, maps parameters are generated Germany by-products.
